ABOUT Dr. Ginny Estupinian PHD, ABPP
Dr. Estupinian graduated from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed specialized clinical training as a postdoctoral fellow at Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System.
For over a decade, Dr. Estupinian worked as a psychologist and neuropsychological assessor with medical privileges at Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System.
In this capacity, she performed hundreds of neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for the various outpatient clinics as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
Today, Dr. Estupinian is board-certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and works exclusively in her private practice, where she provides therapy along with neuropsychological and psychological assessments.
Her vast experience and clinical knowledge will make your child's assessment comfortable and accurate.

What are the important dates I need to know?
Lower and Middle School applicants:
Early September 2026
Applications open through Ravenna. Check for registration deadlines for optional events.
November 3, 2026
Guarantee deadline for Kindergarten and grades 5–10 applicants. Visit each division's Visit and Apply page to learn more.
January 5, 2027
Deadline for Ravenna application and all required documents.
What assessments does The Nueva School currently accepts?
Lower School (grades preK–4)
3 years 10 months to 5 years and 11 months: WPPSI-IV
6 years and older: WISC-V
Middle School (grades 5–8)
WISC-V
Upper School (grades 9–12)
There is no IQ assessment necessary
Do I need to know what assessment is necessary for my child?
No, Dr. Estupinian will decide what assessment is appropriate and will provide you with the all the information you need.
How often can my child take these assessments?
You can only take these assessments once per 12 months.
Can these assessments be given in a foreign language?
No, they can only be given in English.
What should I do if my child is sick before the testing appointment?
If your child is not feeling well as the testing date approaches, please call our office 844-802-6512 to reschedule. We understand that children get sick, and we will work with you to find another appointment time.
For your child’s comfort, the accuracy of the assessment, and the health of other families, we are not able to test a child who is currently sick or who has been sick within the previous 4 days.
Please reschedule if your child has recently had symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, nausea, or headaches.
Our office staff cleans and disinfects testing surfaces and materials before and after each testing session.
How do I prepare my child for the assessment?
There is nothing you can do, or should do, to "coach" or prepare your child for the assessment. The purpose of the examination is to assess each child's abilities without preparation. We encourage you not to put any pressure on your child about his or her test performance prior to the appointment. Your child should not prepare or study for the evaluation. Please be aware that prior exposure to test materials, preparation exercises, and questions will invalidate the results.
What do I say to my child about the appointment?
You may tell your child that they will be doing some fun and interesting activities during the appointment, and you can encourage them by telling them, "Just do your best." Avoid telling your child that it is a play date, as this may affect their performance on the assessment. Our office staff will work with your child to keep them engaged and provide breaks as needed.
Where can I wait during the testing session?
We prefer to have only one parent come with the child. We will meet with you and your child at the beginning of the appointment to make sure your child feels comfortable working with me. During testing, you may wait in our lobby. We encourage a quiet environment so that your child can do their best. If you would like to make a telephone call during this time, please step outside the office.
Anything else I need to know prior to the assessment?
1. Please give yourself plenty of time to get to the office. The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed your child will be when they arrive.
2. Please be sure your child has received a good night's rest and a meal prior to the appointment.
3. If your child wears glasses or hearing aids, please bring those items to the appointment.
